Bill Moyes, an Australian hang gliding pioneer known as the ‘Birdman’, has died at the age of 92. Moyes, a modern-day Icarus, achieved a world record for the longest unassisted hang gliding flight. His adventurous spirit led him to fly into the Grand Canyon, resulting in an arrest, and he also survived several near-fatal accidents.
