Pope Francis will be discharged from the Gemelli hospital in Rome this Sunday. His 37-day hospitalization was due to a respiratory infection. The 88-year-old pontiff has been hospitalized for six weeks with pneumonia in both lungs. He will continue his convalescence for at least two months, his doctors said. This period of rest will take place at the Casa Santa Marta.
